Job Title: Founding Business Operations Associate
Location: San Francisco, CA
Schedule: Onsite 5 days a week
Compensation: $120k - 180k + Equity + Outstanding Benefits
Our client, an innovative AI media company, is looking for a highly organized, ambitious, and proactive Business Operations Associate to help build the operational foundation that enables the team to move fast, stay focused, and scale intelligently.
This is a special opportunity to work directly with the Founder & CEO and gain exposure across every part of a high-growth company. You'll be a key partner in building the systems, processes, and culture that support our next stage of growth.

What You'll Do:
People & Talent Operations
- Partner with external recruiters and create an exceptional candidate experience.
- Lead onboarding and ensure every new hire starts with the tools and support they need.
- Help design scalable hiring processes and recruiting infrastructure.
- Collaborate with legal counsel on employment and HR best practices.
- Support employees with day-to-day HR needs and contribute to a strong company culture.
Finance & Business Operations
- Partner with our Business Operations Manager on expense management, bill payments, and financial record-keeping.
- Help build lightweight but effective operational and financial systems.
- Support fundraising activities and investor communications.
- Track key operational metrics and help leadership make informed decisions.
Office & Administrative Operations
- Ensure our physical and virtual workplaces run smoothly.
- Manage vendors, facilities, IT, and telecom services.
- Coordinate company-wide initiatives and quarterly offsites.
- Provide occasional executive support and cross-functional project coordination.

What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
- Experience in operations in an early stage startup.
- Strong familiarity with Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, and modern workplace software.
- AI fluency and enthusiasm for emerging tools.
- A bias toward action and continuous improvement.
Bonus Points For
- Familiarity with tools such as Mercury, Rippling, and Deel.
- Experience with AI tools including Claude, Claude Code, Codex, or similar platforms.
- Strong documentation and written communication skills.
- Experience supporting creative, media, or technology teams.
