Role Description The Senior Director Business Operations is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operational backbone of GDG Prishtina. This role manages business operations across events, programs, partnerships, and community initiatives, ensuring they run efficiently and align with strategic goals. Day-to-day work includes mapping and improving processes, coordinating with volunteer leads, tracking budgets and financial performance, and ensuring smooth execution of events and initiatives. The Senior Director will develop and monitor key performance indicators, analyze data to support decision-making, and recommend changes that enhance impact and sustainability. The role also involves collaborating with external partners, sponsors, and stakeholders, while mentoring team members on operational best practices and fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and inclusion.
Qualifications
- Business Operations and Program Management skills to design, implement, and oversee efficient processes for events, programs, and community activities.
- Business Process Improvement expertise to map workflows, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous optimization and standardization.
- Strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, define KPIs, prepare reports, and support strategic decision-making.
- Finance capabilities to manage budgets, track expenses, forecast resource needs, and ensure responsible financial stewardship.
- Experience in community, non-profit, or tech ecosystem operations; familiarity with developer communities or Google technologies is a plus.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management abilities, including working with volunteers, partners, and cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and deadlines concurrently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
