We are seeking a forward-thinking finance leader who combines strong accounting expertise with a passion for technology, process improvement, and organizational development.
This is not a traditional Controller position.
We are looking for someone who wants to help build a better business, challenge outdated processes, leverage technology and AI, and play an active role in shaping the future of our organization. For the right individual, this role offers a pathway into broader executive leadership responsibilities over time.
What You’ll DoFinancial Leadership
- Oversee all accounting operations and financial reporting activities.
- Review monthly financial statements for condominium corporations and rental property portfolios.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning processes.
- Coordinate annual audits and work directly with external auditors.
- Develop and strengthen internal controls and financial governance.
- Ensure financial information is accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
Business Operations & Growth
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and scalability across the organization.
- Participate in strategic planning and organizational development initiatives.
- Collaborate with ownership to support growth and long-term business objectives.
- Develop management reporting and performance dashboards to support decision-making.
- Anticipate challenges and opportunities before they impact operations.
Technology & Innovation
- Champion the use of technology, automation, and AI tools to improve workflows and reporting.
- Work closely with software vendors and consultants to enhance business systems.
- Support implementation and optimization of accounting and property management software.
- Participate in the development and refinement of customized reporting and operational tools.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
- Foster a culture of accountability, respect, continuous learning, and service excellence.
- Help build organizational capacity and future leadership within the company.

Qualifications
- CPA designation required.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance leadership experience.
- Experience leading and developing teams.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, audit processes, and internal controls.
- Demonstrated experience improving systems, processes, or business operations.
- Experience with enterprise accounting systems such as Yardi or comparable platforms.
- Strong technology aptitude and comfort learning new software environments.
- Experience collaborating with software providers, consultants, or implementation teams is considered an asset.
- Property management, condominium management, or real estate experience is an asset but not required.
