Partnering with the Chief Executive Officer and Board, this critical leadership role offers an incredible opportunity for a commercially minded finance executive looking for a fast paced, growth business with real momentum and investment continue growth plans and value creation activities. to step in and create value in one of Australia’s newest success stories.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as a genuine strategic partner to the CEO and Board, providing the financial leadership and commercial insight to support continued growth and key business decisions.
- Build and lead the finance function appropriate for a PE-backed business; including board reporting, management reporting, consolidations and the delivery of accurate, timely financial information.
- Work closely with the PE sponsor, leading all board and investor reporting requirements and ensuring transparency and alignment on performance and value creation initiatives.
- Drive best-practice financial governance, internal controls, risk management frameworks and external audit processes across the organisation.
- Lead treasury and capital management activities, including cash flow forecasting, working capital optimisation, banking relationships and funding requirements to support the network's growth.
- Partner with operations leadership to drive commercial and financial discipline across the multi-site network, supporting continued expansion and unit-level performance.
REQUIREMENTS
- CA or CPA qualified, ideally with Big 4 or reputable mid-tier training.
- Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance leader within a multi-site retail business.
- Experience operating within a private equity-backed or investor-owned business, with strong board and sponsor reporting capability.
- Strong technical accounting expertise across financial reporting, statutory compliance, tax, financial controls, governance and external audit.
- Commercially minded leader, comfortable operating at pace in a high-growth, PE-backed environment, with a genuine "right-hand" mindset to the CEO.
