We are a boutique mergers and acquisitions (M&A) advisory firm that works with private equity firms and acquisitive companies. We are seeking a Senior Business Operations Associate to support business operations across marketing, business development, technology, reporting, and administrative functions.

What you'll do
Business Development & Marketing
- Support business development initiatives, marketing campaigns, and client outreach programs.
- Prepare presentation materials, conference handouts, and promotional collateral.
- Produce AI-assisted reports using established prompts.
- Assist with outbound marketing campaigns and client communications.
- Coordinate production of marketing materials for client review and approval.
Website, Technology & Communications
- Serve as the primary onsite contact for day-to-day technology and telecommunications issues.
- Coordinate with external IT providers to resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Track and manage IT support tickets through completion.
- Update website content, formatting, and published materials.
- Manage the firm's LinkedIn presence, including creating posts from existing content.
- Monitor website and LinkedIn performance metrics and prepare monthly analytics reports.
Reporting & Operations
- Prepare management reports.
- Maintain weekly and monthly status reports.
- Update and maintain the firm's Buyer by Interest database and reports.
Administrative Support
- Provide administrative support.
- Serve as backup for weekly client mailing production.
- Maintain engagement letter and fee agreement templates.
- Assist with office operations.
Special Projects
- Update the Buyer by Interest book on a quarterly basis.
- Support the Managing Director with strategic initiatives and special projects.
- Take ownership of additional operational projects as business needs evolve.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who is organized, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a professional office environment.
Preferred qualifications include:
- 2-5+ years of experience in business operations, administrative support, marketing coordination, project coordination, or office operations management.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Experience working with websites, LinkedIn, document management systems, or digital collaboration tools.
- Experience coordinating with outside vendors or service providers.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar technologies.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Must be located in commutable distance to New York City
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience in professional services environment.
- Experience with CRM platforms, marketing automation tools, or reporting systems.
What We Offer
- Competitive base salary: $70,000-$77,000, based on experience
