Position: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) High Quality Food Manufacturing Company

Location: Onsite, full-time — Ontario, CA (local candidates only or willing to relocate)

Position Summary

Our client, a growing food CPG manufacturer headquartered in Ontario, CA, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead its finance organization. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends strategic finance with operational execution — a true business partner to the CEO who can help scale the organization while instilling discipline, accountability, and strong financial leadership. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in Food CPG manufacturing and is highly proficient in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and build a high-performing finance organization, with the Controller and finance team reporting.
Own banking and lender relationships and manage treasury and capital needs.
Drive cash flow management, working capital, and liquidity planning.
Lead financial planning and analysis — budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
Oversee inventory and cost accounting specific to food manufacturing BOM, standard/actual costing, lot and batch tracking, and inventory valuation.
Partner across operations and production to drive operational finance and margin performance.
Optimize the ERP environment in Business Central to strengthen reporting, controls, and efficiency.
Develop KPIs, dashboards, and management reporting that give leadership real-time visibility.
Establish and enforce financial controls, accountability, and process discipline across the organization.
Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO in scaling the business.

Required Qualifications

Proven CFO experience (or a senior finance leader ready to step into the CFO seat) with Food CPG manufacturing experience.
High proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Demonstrated strength across both strategic finance and hands-on operational execution.
Track record in banking/lender relationships, cash flow management, FP&A, budgeting, and forecasting.
Strong command of inventory and cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
Proven success building, leading, and developing high-performing finance teams.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Based in or able to work full-time onsite in Ontario, CA.
