Position: Business Operations Analyst
Location: Sydney, Australia
The role:
As BizOps Analyst, you’ll work directly with our COO across finance, cybersecurity operations, billing, and strategic execution – turning data, process, and reporting into clear, actionable insight for senior leadership.
This is a broad, cross-functional role for someone who is equally comfortable building a financial model, tracking a cybersecurity compliance activity, untangling a billing discrepancy, and producing a board-ready presentation. You’ll be the link between finance, operations, security & the wider business– helping keep execution on track.
What you’ll do:
Finance & Financial Analysis
- Support financial modelling, forecasting, and variance analysis to inform business decisions.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and summaries for the COO and senior leadership.
- Assist with budget tracking, cost analysis, and financial performance.
- Analyse business data to surface trends, risks, and opportunities.
Cybersecurity Operations Support
- Assist the operations and cyber teams in tracking, reporting, and documenting security metrics and activities.
- Support compliance and audit processes by gathering and organising relevant data and documentation.
- Help maintain visibility over security-related operational workflows and reporting frameworks.
- Liaise between technical cyber teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clear communication and documentation.
Operations
- Map, document, and analyse internal business processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Support cross-functional operational projects from initiation through to delivery.
- Maintain operational trackers, status reports, and workflow documentation.
- Coordinate across teams to ensure business-critical tasks stay on track.
Billing
- Assist with billing operations including reconciliation, invoice tracking, and dispute resolution support.
- Work with finance and product teams to ensure billing data accuracy and process integrity.
- Produce billing reports and support month-end billing close processes.
Presentations & Reporting
- Build clear presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders, including the COO and senior leadership team.
- Translate data and analysis into visual formats that are easy to understand and act on.
- Maintain and continuously improve templates and reporting standards across the business.
Strategy Execution
- Support the COO in tracking and executing against strategic priorities and business goals.
- Prepare briefing materials, research packs, and competitive analyses to inform decisions.
- Assist in preparing materials for board and executive meetings.
- Monitor and report on key business metrics, flagging where execution is ahead or behind plan.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience in a business operations, finance, analyst, or similar cross-functional role, ideally within a scaling or technology-driven business.
- Strong financial and analytical skills, with confidence building models, tracking budgets, and interpreting business data.
- Comfort working alongside technical teams (cyber, engineering) without needing to be the technical expert yourself.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce polished, executive-ready reports and presentations.
- High attention to detail and strong process orientation – you notice (and correct!) the discrepancy, the gap, the inefficiency.
- Ability to manage multiple, varied workstreams at once and reprioritise as business needs shift.
- A proactive, low-ego approach – comfortable working closely with leadership in a hands-on, foundational role.
What else you need to know:
- Flexible work environment: We value outcomes over hours. This role is hybrid from our Sydney CBD offices though we aim to strike a balance between professional and personal commitments.
- Growth and development: we want you to hone your craft and learn new skills while sitting at the heart of how a sovereign AI infrastructure business runs.
- Team first: we take pride in our collaborative and inclusive team culture.
