Role Description
Composer by SoFi is seeking a Vice President, Business Operations to lead the company’s operational strategy and drive organizational excellence across all business functions.
As a key member of the leadership team, you will work closely with executive management to develop and execute operational initiatives that support business growth, improve efficiency, and strengthen organizational performance. You will be responsible for building scalable operating frameworks, optimizing business processes, and ensuring alignment across departments.
This role requires close collaboration with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Compliance, and Customer Success teams to improve execution, enhance productivity, and support the company’s long-term strategic objectives. You will establish key performance indicators (KPIs), monitor operational performance, and provide data-driven insights to support executive decision-making.
The Vice President, Business Operations will also play a critical role in supporting the company’s expansion into blockchain, digital assets, and emerging financial technologies. You will identify operational risks and improvement opportunities, implement process enhancements, and help create a high-performance culture focused on accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Additionally, this position will contribute to strategic partnerships, market expansion initiatives, and other high-impact business projects that support the company’s long-term growth and competitive positioning.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, strong operator, and collaborative leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a proven track record of scaling operations within high-growth organizations.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in business operations, corporate strategy, management consulting, or related disciplines.
• 5+ years of leadership and team management experience.
• Proven track record of developing and executing operational strategies that drive business growth.
• Strong understanding of business operations, process improvement, and organizational development.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and managing complex projects.
• Ability to establish and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.
• Strong business acumen and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
• Outstanding communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Experience within fintech, blockchain, cryptocurrency, Web3, or digital asset industries preferred.
• Knowledge of decentralized finance (DeFi), digital asset markets, and blockchain ecosystems preferred.
• Experience supporting international operations or global business expansion preferred.
• MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
