Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our organisation’s financial planning, management, and reporting functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities and a comprehensive understanding of financial management within a dynamic business environment. This pivotal role involves overseeing all financial aspects of the organisation, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and supporting sustainable growth. The CFO will collaborate closely with executive leadership to develop financial strategies that align with organisational objectives and drive long-term success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust financial strategies to support organisational growth and stability.
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Manage organisational financial risks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Lead the preparation of accurate financial statements and reports for stakeholders, including board members and regulatory authorities.
- Supervise finance teams, providing leadership, mentorship, and organisational guidance.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, opportunities for optimisation, and areas requiring improvement.
- Establish internal controls to safeguard organisational assets and ensure integrity in financial processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to align financial planning with operational objectives.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, investors, and other financial institutions.
- Drive organisational initiatives related to financial services, investments, and capital management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior management roles specialising in financial management or accounting.
- Extensive knowledge of financial accounting principles, practices, and standards.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and influence organisational direction.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Demonstrable expertise in managing complex budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
- Experience in strategic planning and implementing effective financial controls.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Prior experience within the relevant industry sector is advantageous but not essential.
