Derflan is seeking a Marketing Strategy & Business Operations Manager to support a high-impact consulting engagement within a global cloud technology organization. This role serves as a strategic business partner to senior marketing leadership, driving organizational strategy, operational planning, executive business rhythms, investment planning, resource management, and data-driven decision support across a global marketing organization.
This is a highly visible role operating as an extension of the leadership team. You'll help shape business priorities by translating complex business data into actionable insights, driving annual planning, optimizing organizational investments, and partnering across Marketing, AWS Sales,
Finance, and global business organizations. The ideal candidate combines strong business operations experience with executive presence, analytical thinking, and the ability to influence decisions across highly matrixed teams.

Annual Base Salary: Approximately $181,000 + Full Benefits
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic business partner to senior marketing leadership, operating as an extension of the leadership team.
- Lead organizational planning across budgeting, resource allocation, headcount forecasting, and investment planning.
- Drive executive Rhythm of Business (ROB), Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), leadership reviews, annual planning, and strategic business cadences.
- Analyze, extract, and synthesize complex business data to develop executive-level recommendations and actionable business insights.
- Develop executive dashboards, business reporting, presentations, and planning materials that support strategic decision-making.
- Partner closely with Marketing, AWS Sales, Finance, and other global organizations to drive alignment across cross-functional initiatives.
- Support organizational design, business planning, prioritization, and operational strategy initiatives.
- Evaluate business investments, organizational capacity, and operational effectiveness to support leadership decisions.
- Track strategic initiatives, business metrics, risks, dependencies, and organizational priorities while driving execution across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Act as the operational and strategic interface between senior marketing leadership and global business partners.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 7+ years of experience in Business Operations, Marketing Operations, Strategy & Operations, Chief of Staff, Program Management, or Business Management.
- Experience supporting senior executives or leadership teams within large, matrixed organizations.
- Experience managing budgeting, forecasting, resource management, and headcount planning.
- Experience leading executive business rhythms, annual planning, and organizational strategy initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into executive-level recommendations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
