Chief Financial Officer
Location: Remote (California candidates preferred)
Salary: Up to $350k Base + Bonus + Equity
Overview:
Our client is a late-stage venture-backed fintech company. They are seeking a CFO to lead finance, capital strategy, and strategic growth initiatives while partnering closely with the CEO, board, investors, and external capital providers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead capital strategy, including debt facilities, lender relationships, covenant management, and liquidity planning
- Drive financial strategy around growth, M&A, recapitalization, and exit readiness
- Own FP&A, financial modeling, forecasting, and board/investor reporting
- Oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, audit, tax, and compliance processes
- Lead and develop a finance team across FP&A, accounting, and finance operations
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of finance leadership experience within fintech, lending, consumer finance, or financial services
- Proven experience managing lending facilities, debt capital relationships, and structured finance processes
- Experience leading or supporting a significant M&A, exit, or recapitalization process ($100M+ preferred)
- Track record of building finance infrastructure within a high-growth, venture-backed company
- Strong communication skills with experience partnering with executives, boards, investors, and external stakeholders
- Hands-on leadership style with experience managing and developing finance teams
