The Sales Operations Analyst plays a key role in driving sales efficiency, process improvement, and business intelligence within the organization. This role is responsible for supporting the sales team by managing Salesforce reporting and processes, analyzing data to provide actionable insights, and ensuring the smooth execution of sales operations. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive in supporting both leadership and frontline sales teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Salesforce CRM Leadership & Training
• Lead the administration and management of Salesforce CRM, including data accuracy,
security protocols, territory/account assignments, and process optimization.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize Salesforce reports, dashboards, and account
management processes.
• Create training programs, usage guides, and best practices to ensure adoption and
consistent use of Salesforce across all sales personnel.
• Generate and monitor reports on CRM usage, accuracy, and completeness to drive
accountability.
• Coordinate with leadership to align Salesforce needs, requests, and system
enhancements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for sales in managing and supporting the quotation
process, including maintaining the functionality of modern, accurate quotation templates
and driving adoption among sales personnel.
Reporting & Analytics
• Publish and distribute weekly standardized sales reports and Salesforce data updates,
along with updates to custom reporting tools.
• Publish and validate custom reports on sales trends, percentage of plan, forecast
assessments, and 30/60/90-day pipelines as requested.
• Deliver weekly, monthly revenue projections by region/territory/personnel, including
current and backlog shipments.
• Provide monthly analysis/reports on sales orders vs. revenue vs. backlog, segmented by
region, territory, and sales personnel.
• Create ad hoc reports for Sales, Marketing, and Product Management teams.
• Create and present sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance metrics to
management.
• Identify new sales opportunities and customer segments through data-driven insights.
Pricing & Competitive Support
• Maintain integrity and accuracy of all DIGI pricing (internal and external “dealer” pricing).
• Maintain accurate digital pricing databases and published price lists.
• Partner with marketing teams to support promotional campaigns and analyze ROI.
• Assist with price discount requests by performing margin calculations and profitability
assessments.
• Conduct competitive analysis of DIGI pricing versus competitors.
• Support the maintenance of portals for all pricing information.
Consumables, National Accounts & Tier II
• Partner with sales personnel on unique or complex consumable price quotations.
• Support National Accounts and Tier II teams in pursuing new account opportunities and
large-scale projects.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Management, Marketing, Finance,
Service, Operations) to align processes with organizational objectives.
• Initiate and manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new product rollouts,
pricing updates, warranty tracking, Terms & Conditions (TOC), and other legal
documentation.
• Work with DIGI operations team to align inventory planning with sales forecasts and
revenue projections.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, or related field (preferred).
2. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Business Analysis, or a related
field.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
4. Extensive knowledge of Salesforce, including reporting, dashboards, and CRM
management.
5. Familiarity with relational databases and sales software tools.
6. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word).
7. Strong communication and written skills with the ability to train and support diverse sales
teams.
8. Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
9. Experience collaborating across departments and presenting insights to management.
