About the Role
Join a profitable, venture-backed space technology company whose products are already flying in orbit. Our client builds advanced hardware used by defense customers, NASA, and commercial space companies for mission-critical applications in the rapidly growing space economy.
The company is roughly 30 people, revenue-generating, and preparing for a major growth phase. This is a true operator seat working directly with the CEO and executive team. You'll span finance, investor relations, operations, events, hiring support, and special projects - owning whatever moves the company forward fastest. If you want a front-row seat to how a space and defense startup scales, with real ownership rather than a narrow lane, this is it.
What You'll Do
- Founder-priority projects: drive initiatives from strategy through execution - fundraising support, trade shows, customer events, new market research
- Investor and board support: help prepare materials, reports, and analyses for investors and the executive team
- Operations and systems: build scalable processes across finance, HR, and logistics as headcount grows quickly
- Cross-functional alignment: run the internal cadence that keeps engineering, sales, and production moving in the same direction
- Act as a trusted extension of the CEO - attending meetings, managing communication, and closing loops across the company
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 2-6 years of professional experience in consulting, banking, finance, program management, business operations, or an engineering role with broad exposure
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving ability; you build the model or the deck yourself
- Excellent written and verbal communication across technical and business audiences
- High-ownership mindset - comfortable with ambiguity, speed, and wearing many hats
- On-site in Irvine, CA
- US person status (US citizen or permanent resident), given defense-related work
Nice to Have:
- Early-stage startup experience
- Exposure to aerospace, defense, hardware, or deep tech
- Recruitment coordination/support experience
- Investor relations experience
You'll Thrive Here If You Want
- Direct access to a founder and executive team at a company that's already shipping and selling
- Scope that grows as fast as you can absorb it - the company plans to triple in size
- A mission at the center of national security and the space economy
- Real equity upside at a startup that's past the survival stage
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $85,000-$120,000 depending on experience
- Stock option plan
- Medical, dental, and vision; life insurance; paid time off and family leave
