Job Title: RevOps & GTM Engineer (Revenue Operations Strategist)
Company: Backdropsource Custom Backdrops, Event Displays & Trade Show Printing
Department: Revenue Operations / Growth & Sales
Reports To: Head of Growth / VP Sales & Marketing
Location: Remote / Hybrid (specify city or 'Remote - India/US time overlap')
Employment Type: Full-time
Compensation: ₹12 LPA onwards (based on experience)
About the Role
Backdropsource is a fast-growing D2C and B2B e-commerce brand (21+ years, 100,000+ custom products delivered, operating across 10 countries) selling custom-printed backdrops, trade show booths, SEG displays, and event signage. We're hiring a hands-on RevOps & GTM Engineer to build the operating backbone of our revenue engine — from lead sourcing and enrichment to CRM hygiene, pipeline visibility, and outbound/inbound systems. This is a builder role: part strategist, part operator, part automation engineer. You'll own the tools, data, and workflows that let sales and marketing move faster and close more, and you'll be expected to identify and act on revenue opportunities, not just report on them.
What You'll Own
1. Lead Generation, List Building & Enrichment
- Build targeted prospect/account lists (event planners, exhibition organizers, trade show marketers, franchise/retail chains, ad agencies) using tools like Apollo, Clay, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Design and run enrichment workflows (firmographic, technographic, intent data) to prioritize and segment leads before they reach sales.
- Continuously test and refine ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) criteria based on closed-won data and pipeline conversion.
2. CRM Hygiene & Data Management
- Own end-to-end CRM administration (HubSpot /Zoho or similar) — field standardization, deduplication, data validation, and lifecycle stage mapping.
- Build and enforce data governance rules so every lead, contact, and deal has clean, complete, and trustworthy data.
- Set up automated data-quality checks and routing rules (lead assignment, territory/segment rules, round-robin).
3. Pipeline Tracking, Forecasting & Reporting
- Build and maintain dashboards for pipeline health, funnel conversion, sales velocity, win rates, and revenue forecasting.
- Partner with sales leadership to define and track key GTM metrics (MQL→SQL conversion, CAC, pipeline coverage, sales cycle length).
- Deliver weekly/monthly reporting cadences to leadership with actionable insight, not just numbers.
4. Outbound Systems & GTM Engineering
- Architect and run outbound engines — sequencing tools (Outreach, Instantly, Smartlead), email deliverability/warm-up, and multichannel cadences (email, LinkedIn, calling).
- Build lightweight automations and integrations (Zapier/Make/n8n, APIs, webhooks) to connect CRM, enrichment tools, and outbound platforms into one system.
- Own outbound experimentation — test messaging, channels, and targeting; report on what's working and scale it.
5. Inbound Optimization & Opportunity Identification
- Work with marketing to optimize inbound lead capture, scoring, and routing so no qualified lead falls through the cracks.
- Analyze website, ad, and campaign data to identify high-intent segments and hand-raisers worth prioritizing.
- Proactively surface expansion, upsell, and reactivation opportunities within the existing customer/account base.
6. GTM Strategy & Cross-functional Alignment
- Act as the connective tissue between Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success — ensuring consistent processes and shared definitions across the funnel.
- Recommend and implement process improvements, new tools, or workflow redesigns as the business scales.
- Stay current on RevOps/GTM tooling and best practices, and bring new ideas to the table.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2–5+ years in RevOps, Sales Operations, GTM/Growth, or Marketing Operations (agency, SaaS, or e-commerce/D2C background a plus).
- Hands-on CRM expertise (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho) — admin-level configuration, not just usage.
- Proven experience with lead enrichment/prospecting tools: Apollo.io, Clay, ZoomInfo,LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Clearbit.
- Experience running outbound sequences/cold email infrastructure (Instantly, Smartlead, Outreach, Salesloft, Lemlist) including deliverability, domain warm-up, and inbox rotation.
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
- Working knowledge of automation/integration platforms (Zapier, Make/Integromat, n8n) — able to connect tools without needing a full engineering team.
- Analytical mindset — comfortable building dashboards (HubSpot reporting, Google Sheets, Looker Studio, or similar) and translating data into decisions.
- Understanding of the full funnel: demand gen, lead qualification (MQL/SQL), pipeline stages, and closed-loop reporting.
- Excellent written communication — you'll write outbound copy, sequences, and internal reporting summaries.
- Self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity — this role requires building processes from scratch, not just following a playbook.
Nice to Have
- Experience in e-commerce, DTC, or B2B events/trade show/print industries.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted prospecting or enrichment workflows (Clay + GPT-based personalization, AI SDR tools).
- Basic scripting ability (Python/JavaScript) for custom automations or API integrations.
- Experience setting up lead scoring models and attribution reporting.
Success Metrics for This Role (First 6 Months)
- Clean, de-duplicated CRM with standardized fields and lifecycle stages across 100% of active records.
- Documented, repeatable process for list building + enrichment feeding a consistent volume of qualified leads monthly.
- Live pipeline/funnel dashboard used weekly by sales & leadership for forecasting.
- At least one fully operational outbound engine (tooling + sequences + reporting loop) live and generating meetings.
- A documented inbound lead scoring/routing system reducing response time to new leads.
Why Join Backdropsource
- Join a profitable, 21+ year old global brand in a high-growth phase — build the RevOps function from the ground up rather than inherit legacy systems.
- High autonomy: you'll have real ownership over tooling choices, process design, and GTM strategy.
- Direct visibility with leadership — your reporting and recommendations shape company-wide sales strategy.
How to Apply
Send your resume along with
(1) a brief note on a RevOps / GTM system or process you built from scratch and its measurable impact, and
(2) any dashboards, CRM workflows, or outbound playbooks you can share as work samples.
