As
Senior Manager – Strategy & GTM, you will work directly with the
GTM Head to translate ShopDeck’s go-to-market priorities into measurable business outcomes. You will operate as the GTM Head’s execution partner—owning critical Key Results, solving ambiguous business problems, driving cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring that strategic priorities move from planning to closure.
This is not a conventional account-management role. It is a high-ownership strategy and execution mandate for someone who can combine structured problem-solving with the speed and pragmatism required in a startup environment.
The ideal candidate will have worked across both a
structured corporate or consulting environment and a
high-growth startup, with demonstrated experience in strategy, business operations, growth, program management, or P&L-linked initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Own high-priority Key Results assigned by the GTM Head, with end-to-end accountability for planning, execution, tracking, and closure.
- Translate GTM objectives into clear workstreams, milestones, operating metrics, and execution plans.
- Lead strategic initiatives across merchant acquisition, activation, revenue growth, retention, account expansion, and GTM productivity.
- Diagnose business problems using data, first-principles thinking, and structured root-cause analysis.
- Identify gaps in the GTM funnel and design interventions to improve conversion, productivity, revenue, and customer outcomes.
- Work closely with Sales, KAM, Marketing, Product, Operations, Finance, Analytics, and Tech teams to drive cross-functional programs.
- Build scalable operating mechanisms, dashboards, review cadences, SOPs, and governance frameworks for the GTM organization.
- Conduct market, customer, competitor, and business analysis to support GTM decisions and new growth opportunities.
- Lead zero-to-one pilots, validate their impact, and institutionalize successful initiatives across teams.
- Prepare sharp business reviews, decision documents, and recommendations for the GTM Head, founders, and leadership team.
- Proactively identify execution risks, unblock dependencies, and ensure that critical initiatives remain on track.
- Support annual and quarterly planning, target setting, capacity planning, and performance reviews for the GTM function.
Experience & Background
- 4–8 years of total experience across strategy, business operations, growth, program management, founder’s office, consulting, category management, or P&L-linked roles.
- Prior experience working closely with a business head, functional leader, founder, or senior leadership team.
- Demonstrated experience owning ambiguous, cross-functional, and high-impact business initiatives.
- Experience in a high-growth startup, consumer-tech, e-commerce, marketplace, SaaS, fintech, or internet business.
- Strong exposure to one or more of the following:
➛ Go-to-market strategy and execution
➛ Revenue and growth initiatives
➛ Business planning and performance management
➛ Marketplace or supply-side operations
➛ Customer acquisition, retention, or monetization
➛ P&L ownership or business profitability
➛ Experience building operating processes and scaling initiatives across multiple teams or markets.
➛ Undergraduate or postgraduate degree from a
Tier 1 institution preferred.
