We are seeking an experienced Interim Chief Financial Officerto partner with a mid-sized, PE-backed distribution company based in Nashville, TN. This is a hands-on, high-impact engagement focused on driving immediate financial stabilization, optimizing liquidity, and executing disciplined cost management.
Key Responsibilities
- Liquidity & Working Capital: Rebuild cash flow forecasting models, accelerate receivables, and optimize inventory levels across our distribution network.
- Cost Rationalization: Conduct a rigorous review of operating expenses, SG&A, and vendor agreements to align cost structures with current demand.
- Margin & Pricing Analysis: Partner with commercial and operations teams to evaluate product-level profitability, freight costs, and pricing discipline.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary financial partner to the private equity board, delivering clear transparency, weekly cash reports, and actionable insights.
Ideal Qualifications
- Proven track record as an Interim CFO or senior financial consultant within PE-backed lower-middle to middle-market companies.
- Deep operational background in distribution, supply chain, or wholesale industries.
- Exceptional command of working capital turnaround, cash conservation, and liquidity management.
- Ability to step in quickly, lead the finance team, and maintain a strong onsite presence in the Nashville area.
