Our client is a lower middle market (50-100M of topline revenue), private equity backed services provider that was just acquired by a leading private equity firm. As part of this transition and their aggressive growth plans, there is a need for a strategic and hands-on CFO to elevate the finance / accounting function. This leader will be stepping into a tight knit team and culture that have performed exceptionally getting the business to it's current size. There is unlimited growth potential ahead with the right focus and execution. This role will help to shape growth strategy, allocate capital, improve commercial and operational decision-making, and build an institutionally scalable platform.
The successful candidate will have a passion for - and prior experience - partnering with leadership and outside investors to optimize their growth potential and profitability. The CFO will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the Board of Directors. I
Must have prior experience includes:
- Be a current resident of the greater Nashville area. This role is office based.
- Given the growth trajectory of the Company, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of overall experience with a minimum of 7+ as a CFO within a small to mid-sized business where they assisted in scaling the Company while playing an active, hands-on role.
- Must have experience working with in a company, with a successful track record, that was backed by a reputable private equity firm. Experience all the way through an exit process is strongly preferred.
- Must enjoy doing the BUILD - this is essentially a new and upgraded role that has a blank canvas to build the team, process and systems to best support the upcoming growth.
- Strong M&A experience, both executing and integrating acquisitions, is required. Having worked in a private-equity backed consolidation is strongly preferred.
- Must have strong, balanced technical financial skills with an operation orientation. Deep understanding not only of the financial dynamics of a business, but its operating dynamics as well. Highly skilled in weekly/monthly planning and hitting deadlines.
