Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in the Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area, responsible for overseeing all financial operations of The Leader NU Institute LLC. This role manages financial planning and analysis, budgeting, cash flow, and long-term financial strategy to support sustainable growth and mission alignment. The CFO will oversee the preparation, review, and presentation of financial statements and reports, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintain strong internal controls and risk management practices. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading the finance team, partnering with executive leadership on strategic initiatives, evaluating investment and funding opportunities, and providing clear financial insights to guide key business decisions. The CFO will also collaborate across departments to align financial resources with program goals, optimize operational efficiency, and support continuous improvement in financial processes and systems.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance, with experience in organizational financial leadership and strategic financial management.
- Demonstrated expertise in Financial Planning and Financial Reporting, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Proficiency in preparing, analyzing, and interpreting Financial Statements for internal and external stakeholders.
- Advanced Analytical Skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Proven experience in senior finance or CFO roles, preferably within professional services, education, consulting, or related sectors.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, tax and regulatory compliance, and internal control frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with executive teams and cross-functional partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA, CPA, or equivalent professional certification is highly beneficial.
