CFO / Head – Finance & Account

The client is a leading diversified group with a strong legacy in high-end residential and commercial real estate development, asset monetization, and large land bank management**. Known for strong governance, financial discipline, and landmark projects, the organization offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior leadership on strategic finance, investments, and large-scale asset monetization initiatives.
The CFO / Head – Finance & Accounts will be responsible for leading the complete finance function including statutory compliance, taxation, investments, budgeting, financial planning, asset monetization support, and financial reporting for a premium real estate and trust-based organization. The role involves close coordination with senior management and the COO on land monetization strategies, investment planning, valuation, feasibility analysis, and long-term financial sustainability

Key Responsibilities / Key Result Areas
- Oversee complete financial operations and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Manage preparation and filing of statutory compliances with Charity Commissioner, Income Tax, Professional Tax, TDS and audit authorities.
- Handle income tax assessments, scrutiny cases, and coordination with tax consultants, lawyers, and auditors.
- Lead investment planning including fixed deposits, mutual funds, and other instruments ensuring safety, compliance, and optimized returns.
- Work closely with the COO to execute land monetization plans and achieve revenue targets.
- Prepare financial investment plans and long-term monetization strategies for land banks and trust assets.
- Monitor budgets, control costs, manage team expenses, and ensure adherence to approved financial plans.
- Prepare and present financial reports, executive summaries, and MIS to Trustees and senior management.
- Conduct commercial evaluation of offers, negotiations, feasibility studies, and financial closure support for land monetization transactions.
- Coordinate valuation exercises with external valuers and prepare financial analysis and executive summaries of valuation reports.
- Prepare project feasibility reports, financial statements, and executive summaries for land parcels and development opportunities.
- Track market intelligence on land transactions, precedent transaction analysis, and maintain land parcel catalogues.
- Ensure high standards of governance, compliance, financial discipline, and risk management.
Key Competencies
Technical Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of Accounting, Taxation, Statutory Compliance, and Audit
- Expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Investment Management and Asset Monetization
- Financial Modelling and Feasibility Analysis
- Proficiency in MS Office, Tally and / or SAP (mandatory)
- Working knowledge of trust-related compliances preferred
