Tatum Consulting new opportunity for an Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to assume leadership of our financial management function and serve as a senior administrator on the School Leadership Team. This consulting resource will step into an opportunity that is available due to an upcoming retirement and manage the school’s resources in alignment with its mission. You will oversee all planning, control, accounting, and reporting of income, expenses, and contributed and invested funds.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all day-to-day accounting functions: AP/AR, Cash Management, Tax, General Ledger entries, and Payroll.
- Maintain professional relationships with the school's banks, attorneys, auditors, investment managers, insurance carriers, contractors, and vendors.
- Maintain professional relationships with the Lovers Lane business office.
- Attend all Finance Committee meetings, select Board of Trustees meetings, and ad hoc committees (finance/compensation) to provide full, accurate, and complete financial and management information to assist the Board with fiduciary responsibilities.
- Serve as a senior administrator on the School Leadership Team.
Qualifications:
- Experience Level: CFO/Controller-level experience with demonstrated senior-level management history overseeing total organizational accounting operations and high-level financial reporting.
- Accounting & Operational Skills: Hands-on mastery of foundational accounting tasks including AP/AR, General Ledger entries, Payroll processing, Cash Management, and Tax.
- Governance & Stakeholder Management: Direct experience working with a Board of Trustees, Finance Committees, and external financial partners (banks, auditors, insurance carriers).
- Must be local to Dallas Texas
