Position – Chief Revenue Officer
Relationships - Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer
Location - Chembur, Mumbai
Compensation – As per industry standards, with performance-linked incentives and ESOPs (planned)
Geographical scope – India (initially), with expansion to Middle East and Africa in 12-18 months
Role Summary –
The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) will own and drive the end-to-end revenue lifecycle—from demand generation to deal closure and long-term account growth. The role will focus on building a predictable and scalable revenue engine, accelerating growth in India (targeting 35%+ CAGR), and preparing the organization for global expansion.
Over the next 36 months, this role has the potential to evolve into a global CRO position covering additional markets including Southeast Asia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
a. Define and execute integrated go-to-market (GTM) strategies aligned with company growth objectives
b. Contribute to corporate strategy (LRS & AOP) as part of the leadership team
c. Partner with the CFO to balance revenue growth with profitability
2.Revenue Growth & Market Expansion:
a. Scale India revenue with a strong focus on BFSI sector
b. Identify, engage, and penetrate large “Unicorn” and enterprise accounts
c. Build and nurture C-level relationships across key client organizations
d. Expand into new geographies including Middle East & Africa (next phase)
3.Sales & Account Management:
a. Establish and scale high-performing sales, pre-sales, and customer success teams
b. Drive account mining strategies to increase wallet share and customer lifetime value
c. Ensure seamless transition from sales to delivery for high customer satisfaction and retention
d. Develop structured sales processes including pipeline management, account planning, and forecasting
4.Partnerships & Ecosystem:
a. Build and manage strategic alliances with hyperscalers and relevant technology partners
b. Drive joint GTM initiatives and co-selling opportunities
5.Operational Excellence:
a. Implement metrics-driven performance management systems
b. Design and optimize sales compensation and incentive structures
c. Monitor pipeline health and improve conversion velocity
d. Recommend pricing strategies aligned with market and profitability goals
6.Brand & Thought Leadership:
a. Strengthen market positioning through thought leadership, presentations, and industry engagement
b.Support business development teams in creating compelling proposals and narratives
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Revenue Growth: Achieve 35% CAGR annually with a clear quarterly roadmap
- Pipeline Velocity: Improve lead-to-closure cycle time
- Customer Retention: Maintain Net Revenue Retention (NRR) of 115%+
- CAC Efficiency: Optimize customer acquisition cost for improved ROI
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong enterprise sales experience, preferably within the BFSI sector
- Proven track record of scaling IT services revenue (minimum $10M annually)
- Established relationships within the BFSI technology ecosystem
- Experience in building and leading high-performing sales teams
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and leadership skills
Qualifications:
- MBA from a reputed institution preferred
- 15+ years of progressive experience in IT services or consulting
- Demonstrated success in senior leadership roles with revenue ownership
- Strong strategic thinking and operational execution capabilities
