THE ROLE
You will join our Sales Operations team and look after a defined group of wholesale accounts — keeping their orders accurate in the system and moving through to delivery and invoicing on time.
Working alongside the rest of the Sales Operations team, you will be the person who knows what is happening on your accounts: what has been ordered, what is due, what is short and what needs chasing. You will deal with Merchandising, Logistics, Finance and the warehouse every day to keep things moving, and escalate to the team when something needs a bigger decision.
This is a strong role for someone early in their commercial career who wants to learn how a wholesale business really works. With the right attitude, there is a clear route through to a Sales Operations Coordinator role.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Look after your accounts
• Maintain the order book for your accounts in Microsoft Navision, keeping orders, prices, quantities and delivery dates accurate and up to date.
• Process new orders, amendments, call-offs and cancellations promptly and correctly.
• Keep customer details and requirements current, and make sure they are followed.
• Check your order book regularly for gaps, duplicates and errors, and get them corrected.
Keep orders moving
• Track your orders from booking through to despatch and invoicing.
• Manage call-offs against agreed delivery windows and available stock.
• Flag stock shortages, delays and delivery problems as soon as you spot them.
• Chase the actions needed to fix them, and keep the team updated on progress.
Work with the wider business
• Be the day-to-day contact for your accounts across Sales, Merchandising, Logistics, Warehouse and Finance.
• Answer queries on order status, stock and delivery quickly and accurately.
• Prepare and share regular order book updates for your accounts.
• Raise anything that looks wrong or does not add up, rather than assuming someone else has seen it.
Support the team
• Provide accurate information for order book and conversion reviews.
• Escalate issues with the facts already gathered and a suggested next step.
• Help keep process notes and trackers up to date.
• Suggest ways to make routine tasks simpler and less error-prone.
• Cover colleagues’ accounts during busy periods and holidays.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Some experience in a sales support, order processing, customer service, merchandising or administrative role — ideally in apparel, retail or another product business.
• Good working knowledge of Excel and confidence handling data accurately.
• Exposure to an ERP or order management system is an advantage; full training on Microsoft Navision will be given.
• Strong attention to detail and the organisation to juggle several accounts and deadlines at once.
• Clear, polite communication with people at all levels, by email and on the phone.
• A willingness to ask questions, learn quickly and take ownership of your accounts.
WHO YOU ARE
Organised, reliable and thorough. You follow things through rather than leaving them half done, and you would rather ask than guess. You are comfortable chasing people for answers, you notice when something does not look right, and you want to understand why things work the way they do. Most importantly, you are keen to build a career here.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Your accounts have a clean, accurate order book. Orders progress through call-off, delivery and invoicing without last-minute surprises. Colleagues come to you for the answer on your accounts and get it first time. And over time you take on more accounts and more responsibility.
