We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer in Atlanta to provide financial leadership and support the company’s continued growth. The CFO will work closely with the CEO and leadership team and will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations while also contributing to broader business strategy.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who can manage the day-to-day finance function while also helping the organization improve its processes, reporting, planning, and overall financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership for the finance and accounting functions.
- Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, tax, audit, and financial controls.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to senior leadership and other key stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, financial models, and long-term financial plans.
- Monitor company performance and provide leadership with financial analysis and recommendations.
- Partner with operational leaders to improve financial performance and accountability.
- Lead financial analysis and due diligence related to M&A opportunities, including evaluating potential transactions and supporting transaction execution.
- Oversee the financial integration of acquired businesses, including systems, reporting, accounting processes, controls, and organizational integration.
- Assist with post-acquisition integration efforts to ensure consistent financial processes and reporting across the organization.
- Evaluate business opportunities and provide financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
- Develop and improve accounting processes, systems, controls, and reporting capabilities.
- Manage relationships with external advisors, auditors, financial institutions, and other business partners.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, and company policies.
- Lead, develop, and expand the finance and accounting team as the organization grows.
- Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team.
Qualifications
- Significant experience in a senior finance or CFO-level leadership role.
- Strong background in accounting, financial reporting, FP&A, and financial management.
- Experience with M&A, financial due diligence, and post-acquisition integration.
- Experience leading and developing finance and accounting teams.
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes, systems, and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in both strategic and hands-on capacities.
- Experience in a growing or changing organization preferred.
- CPA, MBA, or other relevant credentials are a plus.
