IsWhere is seeking a Part-Time Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team.
As the world's first AI-powered Global Living Map, IsWhere is transforming how destinations, merchants, travelers, and locals connect through a unified digital discovery ecosystem. By bringing together tourism boards, DMOs, local businesses, and strategic partners (fintech, banks, telcos, media, industry bodies, etc.) into a single geo-located infrastructure, IsWhere enables destinations to own their digital narrative, strengthen local economies, and engage high-intent audiences worldwide.
As we enter our next phase of growth, we are looking for a strategic CFO with a strong startup background and a proven fundraising track record to help build the financial foundation for global scale.
This is an opportunity to work directly with the founders, shape investment strategy, engage with investors and strategic partners, and play a pivotal role in the growth of an innovative AI-driven platform with worldwide ambitions.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the founders and executive leadership team, the CFO will oversee IsWhere's financial strategy, operations, governance, and fundraising initiatives.
We are specifically seeking an entrepreneurial finance leader with deep startup and scale-up experience who has successfully led or played a significant role in fundraising activities. The ideal candidate will have experience working closely with founders, venture capital firms, family offices, strategic investors, and financial institutions, while establishing the financial discipline and infrastructure needed to support rapid international growth.
This role requires both strategic vision and hands-on execution, with responsibility for ensuring financial sustainability, investment readiness, and scalable growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management across the organization.
• Develop and oversee financial planning processes that support sustainable global growth.
• Prepare, review, and optimize financial statements, management accounts, investor reports, and board presentations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting, taxation, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide rigorous financial analysis and insights to support executive and strategic decision-making.
• Advise leadership on capital structure, fundraising strategy, investment readiness, and financial risk management.
• Lead or support fundraising initiatives, including equity financing, strategic investments, and debt funding opportunities.
• Develop investor materials, financial models, pitch support documentation, due diligence packages, and virtual data rooms.
• Build and maintain relationships with investors, venture capital firms, family offices, financial institutions, and strategic funding partners.
• Design scalable financial controls, governance frameworks, operational processes, and reporting structures.
• Evaluate strategic partnerships, commercial opportunities, market expansion initiatives, and potential investment activities.
• Collaborate closely with the founders and leadership team to execute IsWhere's long-term financial and growth strategy.
Qualifications & Experience
✅ Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Director, Head of Finance, or equivalent senior financial leadership role.
✅ Strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
✅ Advanced analytical, financial modelling, and business planning capabilities.
✅ Significant experience in startup, venture-backed, or high-growth scale-up environments.
✅ Demonstrated track record of successfully leading or supporting fundraising activities, including Seed, Pre-Series A, Series A, Series B, strategic investment, or growth-stage funding rounds.
✅ Experience working directly with founders, investors, venture capital firms, family offices, institutional investors, and strategic partners.
✅ Proven ability to establish financial infrastructure, reporting systems, governance frameworks, and controls in rapidly growing businesses.
✅ Strong commercial acumen and ability to balance growth opportunities with disciplined financial management.
✅ Experience within technology, AI, SaaS, digital platforms, fintech, travel-tech, marketplaces, payments, or related sectors is highly desirable.
✅ Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
✅ Professional qualifications such as CPA, CFA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent are advantageous.
✅ Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
✅ Familiarity with international business operations and cross-border growth strategies is a strong advantage.
