SALES OPERATIONS COORDINATOR
Salary: Up to £32,000 DOE
Location: Manchester City Centre - Northern Quarter
Working Pattern: Fully Office Based
Hours: 40 hours per week - flexible start time between 08:30 and 09:30
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales Operations Coordinator to join a fast-growing business based in Manchester's Northern Quarter. This is a varied role sitting at the heart of the sales operation, supporting the management of customer accounts and ensuring orders move smoothly from initial booking through to delivery and invoicing.
Job Spec:
- Managing the order book for assigned customer accounts
- Processing new orders, amendments, call-offs and cancellations
- Ensuring prices, quantities and delivery dates are accurate and up to date
- Tracking orders from initial booking through to despatch and invoicing
- Monitoring stock availability and agreed delivery timelines
- Identifying shortages, delays or potential issues and escalating these quickly
- Responding to customer and internal queries regarding orders, stock and deliveries
- Working closely with Sales, Logistics, Warehouse and Finance teams
- Providing regular updates on order status and outstanding actions
- Maintaining accurate information within the ERP/order management system
- Supporting additional accounts during busy periods and holidays
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and reduce errors
Person Spec:
- Previous experience within sales administration, sales operations, order management, wholesale administration or a similar role
- Experience managing customer orders from initial processing through to delivery
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Confident written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
- Comfortable working across different departments in a fast-paced environment
- Good commercial awareness and a strong customer-focused approach
