The Opportunity: Co-Founder & CFO
We're looking for an ambitious, commercially minded and entrepreneurial Co-Founder & Chief Financial Officer to join Mindsets.ai at an early stage and become a key member of our founding team.
This is more than a traditional CFO position. We're looking for someone who shares our ambition, recognises the commercial potential of AI and wants to play a meaningful role in building a company from the ground up.
You'll work directly alongside the founding team to develop our financial strategy, establish a compelling investment proposition and secure the external funding required to accelerate our growth.
You'll have the opportunity to influence the company's direction, business model, investment strategy and long-term development while sharing in the value you help create.
This is initially an equity-based opportunity, without an immediate salary. Our intention is to introduce competitive remuneration once sufficient external investment has been secured and the business can sustainably support it.
We're seeking a genuine business partner rather than someone simply looking for their next executive position.
Your Responsibilities
As Co-Founder & CFO, you'll take ownership of Mindsets.ai's financial strategy while playing a central role in fundraising, investor relationships and commercial development.
Financial Strategy & Business Development
- Develop and lead the company's financial strategy, forecasts and financial models.
- Build a scalable financial framework to support our product development, commercialisation and international growth ambitions.
- Establish budgets, cash-flow forecasts and funding requirements.
- Help evaluate revenue models, pricing strategies and commercial opportunities.
- Advise the founding team on company valuation, investment structures and financial decision-making.
- Establish appropriate financial controls, reporting processes and corporate governance.
Fundraising & Investor Relations
- Work alongside the founding team to develop and execute our pre-seed fundraising strategy.
- Help create a compelling investment proposition that communicates Mindsets.ai's vision, technology, commercial potential and growth strategy.
- Prepare financial projections, investor presentations and supporting investment documentation.
- Identify and engage potential angel investors, venture capital firms and strategic investment partners.
- Participate in investor outreach, pitches, negotiations and due diligence.
- Help structure investment agreements and prepare the company for future funding rounds.
- Develop and maintain relationships with investors and financial partners.
Strategic Leadership & Growth
- Contribute to the wider commercial strategy and long-term direction of Mindsets.ai.
- Help prioritise resources and investment across product development, market entry and growth opportunities.
- Support the commercial and financial planning of institutional pilots and strategic partnerships.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities as the business develops.
- Work closely with the founding team to establish the foundations of a sustainable and scalable technology company.
- Build and lead the finance function as Mindsets.ai grows.
Who We're Looking For
We're particularly interested in speaking with ambitious finance professionals who combine strong financial expertise with entrepreneurial thinking.
You don't necessarily need to have been a CFO before. We're equally interested in talented individuals who have the skills, experience and determination to grow into the position while helping us build the business.
Ideally, you'll bring experience in some combination of:
- Startup finance, corporate finance, investment or financial management.
- Fundraising, venture capital, angel investment or investor relations.
- Financial modelling, forecasting and business planning.
- Preparing early-stage companies for investment and due diligence.
- Communicating financial information and commercial opportunities to investors.
- Developing financial strategies for startups or high-growth businesses.
- Commercial strategy, business development or scaling technology companies.
Qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA or a relevant finance or accounting degree are valuable. However, we place equal importance on commercial ability, entrepreneurial mindset and relevant practical experience.
Above all, we're looking for someone who:

Compensation & Equity
This is an equity-based co-founder opportunity and does not provide a salary initially.
The successful candidate will receive an agreed equity stake in Mindsets.ai, subject to appropriate founder and shareholder agreements and vesting arrangements.
One of our immediate priorities is securing external investment to accelerate development, launch our institutional pilots and establish the foundations for commercial growth.
Our intention is to introduce a competitive CFO salary once sufficient funding has been secured and the business can sustainably support it.
The precise equity package, responsibilities and future remuneration will be discussed openly with suitable candidates before any commitment is made.
We're looking for someone who understands the nature of early-stage entrepreneurship and is motivated by the opportunity to create meaningful long-term value.
