The Position
The Position seeking an ambitious Head – Business Operations to act as a core strategic partner across all business units. In this pivotal executive role, you will oversee and elevate enterprise-wide Business Operations. Partnering with senior executives in Sales, Delivery, Finance, HR, and Corporate Functions, you will oversee strategic business planning, operational efficiency, financial stewardship, resource allocation, and key executive initiatives. By bridging cross-functional efforts, addressing complex operational challenges, accelerating leadership decisions, and aligning overarching strategy with tactical execution, you will play a central role in driving organizational success. This position offers exceptional executive visibility across strategy, finance, and operations, serving as a launchpad for broader enterprise leadership opportunities.
Priorities for the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Function as a key counselor to the Managing Director, driving critical strategic and operational workflows.
- Champion executive priorities through meticulous planning, robust governance, and integrated stakeholder orchestration.
- Deliver high-impact business intelligence, mitigating risks while identifying growth avenues across leadership channels.
- Streamline executive communications to ensure organizational alignment, rigorous accountability, and swift execution of mandates.
Strategic Planning and Fiscal Stewardship
- Collaborate with Finance and functional leads to orchestrate monthly cycles of financial forecasting and P&L oversight.
- Track enterprise performance regarding revenue streams and cost optimization, maintaining strict budget compliance.
- Direct the Annual Operating Plan and Long-Range Strategy by unifying cross-departmental data and refining business logic.
Enterprise Operations
- Oversee operational governance for client partnerships, ensuring total alignment with commercial and legal obligations.
- Manage frameworks for contract lifecycle, resource mapping, billing cycles, and sustained project margin health.
- Engineer sophisticated pricing models and executive dashboards to empower data-driven decisions and scalable growth.
- Implement standardized SOPs and governance protocols to heighten operational transparency and internal efficiency.
Job Requirements
- 15 years of progressive experience in Business Operations, Strategy, PMO, Corporate Planning, or
- Commercial Governance within Staffing, HR Services, Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO),
- Managed Services (MSP), or IT Staff Augmentation.
- In-depth understanding of staffing business models—including Flexible/Temporary Staffing, Permanent
- Recruitment, Executive Search, and Outcome-based Services.
- Direct experience managing key staffing operating metrics: Gross Margin (GM%), Net Fee Income
- (NFI), Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), Billing Efficiency, Billability/FTE Utilization, and Bench
- Management.
- Proven track record in overseeing commercial contracts, pay-bill dynamics, statutory compliance
- frameworks (labour laws/PF/ESI), and high-volume billing/collection processes.
- Staffing Financial & Commercial Acumen: High proficiency in evaluating client contracts, rate cards, markup structures, gross margin leakage, and complex pay-bill mechanics across different labor categories.
- Operational & Fulfilment Governance: Deep understanding of the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, candidate pipeline metrics, onboarding compliance, timesheet management, and operational SLAs.
- Executive Communication & Storytelling: Ability to translate complex staffing operations and client performance data into sharp executive dashboards, board packs, and strategic slides.
- Cross-Functional Influence: Proven ability to drive alignment across Sales, Delivery/Recruitment Operations, Finance, Legal, Credit Control, and HR.
- Process Scaling & Optimization: Track record of driving automation, standardizing SOPs, and lowering Cost-to-Serve while boosting operational yield across business lines.
- Data & Tech Proficiency: Advanced analytical skills in Excel/Google Sheets (financial/margin modeling) and familiarity with modern Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Vendor Management Systems (VMS), and ERPs (e.g., SAP, Salesforce)
