Iron Mountain is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director, Inside Sales to join our Inside Sales team. The Director, Inside Sales will play a critical role in driving sales growth, developing strategies for account expansion, ensuring excellent customer relationships, and meeting/exceeding revenue targets for the assigned account base. This position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales leadership, account management, and team development. The ideal candidate will excel in fostering a high-performance sales culture that drives excellence, fosters accountability and promotes collaboration.
In this role, you will work closely with Marketing, Business Operations/Sales Support, and other business units to ensure alignment and drive success across all sales initiatives. This position reports directly to the VP, North America Inside Sales.
Responsibilities:
- Build a high performing team, ensuring individual and team performance goals and objectives are exceeded through the implementation of good performance management practices.
- Lead the team and be accountable for pipeline and revenue growth across multiple business units.
- Determine, communicate and manage the critical KPIs necessary to achieve, and exceed quota expectations.
- Collaborate with business partners in Sales Operations, Sales Enablement, Marketing and Recruiting to position the Inside Sales team for success and growth year over year.
- Create individual development plans for sales leaders and high potential employees and ensure that appropriate performance management plans are implemented for average and below average performers.
- Work with the product, enablement & marketing teams to develop a compelling inside Sales value proposition in order to maximize Iron Mountain’s share of wallet in existing customers and prospects.
- Promote a culture where decisions are grounded in data, enabling the team to utilize CRM tools, performance metrics, and market insights to continuously refine sales strategies.
Qualifications:
- B2B leadership experience, with a proven track record of sales success in solution sales (selling complex solutions tailored to meet customer needs)
- 5+ years of direct b2b sales experience
- Experience managing through managers and inside sales representatives in a target driven, high growth environment
- Proven track record of exceeding quota requirements as an individual contributor as well as a sales manager
- Demonstrated experience in successfully partnering with Business Partners in Sales Operations, Sales Enablement, Marketing and Recruiting
- Demonstrated success in driving a positive, competitive and high-performance sales culture
- High emotional intelligence, with the ability to inspire, engage, and develop team members, and effectively partner with internal teams across departments to drive alignment and success.
- Ability to foster a healthy balance between individual performance and team collaboration, driving high participation and collective success in meeting or exceeding sales quotas across the Inside Sales team.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to make informed decisions and optimize sales strategies.
