Backed by top-tier accelerators like Stanford, UC Berkeley, UCLA, and USC, and sponsored by Microsoft, Google, and NVIDIA, WorkUp has been in stealth mode for three years and launched publicly five months ago. Since then, we’ve achieved over $260k+ in B2C sales, with systems in place to scale further. Now, we’re ready to expand into B2B sales with our automated AI candidate screening services, and we’re looking for a hands-on Chief Sales Officer to lead this charge.
What You’ll Do:
This is not a traditional executive role. As CSO, you’ll play an active, boots-on-the-ground role in driving sales, with a focus on founder-led sales and a lean team approach. Your key responsibilities include:
- B2C Sales Management: Take over and optimize our existing B2C sales systems to ensure continued growth and customer success.
- Jumpstart B2B Sales: Develop and execute a strategy to introduce WorkUp’s automated AI candidate screening services to businesses, securing partnerships and long-term contracts.
- Sales Leadership & Growth: Act as the primary salesperson for WorkUp in the early stages. Over time, recruit and build a small but high-performing sales team to scale operations.
- Client Relationships: Build strong, trust-based relationships with both individual and corporate clients.
- Collaborative Strategy Development: Work closely with the CEO and product team to refine offerings and tailor sales strategies for maximum impact.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven track record in sales, with experience in B2C and B2B environments.
- Strong understanding of SaaS, HR tech, or AI solutions, with the ability to translate technical products into customer value.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and lead by example.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience in startups and early-stage environments is a strong plus.
