As the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), you will be responsible for architecting and executing an integrated revenue strategy across our retail and wholesale lines of business. You will play a critical role in driving sales, strengthening brand recognition, managing relationships with key partners, and navigating the complex regulatory landscape of the cannabis industry. This is a pivotal leadership position with the opportunity to shape the future direction of a high-growth, vertically integrated cannabis organization.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive revenue strategy that aligns with the company’s long-term vision, ensuring all revenue-generation arms (retail and wholesale) operate cohesively.
Oversee P&L costs and revenue streams, setting and monitoring financial targets, controlling costs, and improving margin performance.
Conduct comprehensive risk analyses to identify potential operational, financial, and regulatory hurdles, proactively devising strategies to mitigate these risks.
Lead strategic development for retail expansion, capturing market share through customer needs assessment, brand strategy, and competitive positioning.
Analyzing market trends and competitor pricing to develop optimal pricing strategies for products and services to maximize revenue potential.
Optimization of retail storefronts and delivery channels, focusing on customer experience, product assortment, merchandising, and staffing efficiency.
Direct wholesale operations to enhance relationships with key accounts, distributors, and retail partners, ensuring consistent supply, pricing integrity, and strong sell-through rates.
Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) like sales revenue, conversion rates, customer lifetime value, and adjusting strategies based on data analysis.
Ensuring a consistent customer experience across all retail channels, including online and in-store interactions.
Prioritizing customer satisfaction by analyzing customer feedback, implementing customer retention initiatives, and ensuring seamless omnichannel shopping experiences.
Utilize advanced analytics, BI tools, and market data to forecast demand, refine pricing models, and identify strategic opportunities for revenue growth and margin optimization.
Continually measure and refine the performance of all revenue-generation activities, adjusting strategies based on real-time feedback loops and customer insights.
Act as a key member of the executive leadership team, collaborating closely with Operations, Legal & Compliance, Accounting & Finance, and HR to align strategies with company-wide initiatives.

Demonstrated success developing company strategy and translating it into actionable revenue plans within a retail focused organization, and a track record of scaling brands and driving top line growth.
Extensive experience in leveraging KPIs, market insights, and analytics to guide decision making and create compelling businesses cases to achieve measurable results.
Experience building, developing, and managing high performing teams ensuring alignment to company strategy and providing appropriate priorities, goals, processes and resources to achieve business function expectations in a high growth environment.
Highly analytical with the ability to channel different points of view and synthesize information quickly.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and public speaking experience.

Education & Experience:

Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA, finance education preferred.
Minimum of 20 years of strategic business planning in a consumer goods, retail, or cannabis company. Experience within the cannabis industry preferred, including multi-state operations, wholesale frameworks, and navigating the complexities of retail in a regulated market.
10 years of progressive leadership experience with proven success building teams, scaling operations, and delivering strong financial results in a high-growth environment.
Demonstrated success in building, mentoring, and leading high-performing teams, setting clear goals, and fostering a culture of accountability.
Exceptional communication skills, comfortable presenting complex strategies and data driven insights to internal leadership and external stakeholders.
