Due to continued success and growth, we have an opportunity for the role of Director of Sales Operations to join our experienced team, reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the management, administration and implementation of various systems/processes that support the sales force specifically focusing on incentive plan design and administration, field data reporting, call planning, CRM implementation and changes, targeting, territory alignment, and sizing.
- Lead sales operations processes and systems to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Develop/oversee CRM and field data/reporting processes, including planning, roll-out, change management, compliance, support, maintenance and reporting.
- Track sales and develop/oversee updates of sales forecasts. Coordinate and ensure adequate reporting is available to all levels of the organization to support pipeline and marketed products.
- Partner with sales leadership to align sales operations with overall business objectives and to improve existing processes and to partner on new projects to support the business.
- Be the main point of contact for sales operations queries and escalations.
- Lead sales analytics activities including dashboards, reporting and data purchases.
- Identify and recommending operational improvements.
- Work closely with other cross functional teams such as Finance and HR to support all activities related to sales operations.
- Provide actionable insights based on trends in performance and activity to commercial leadership to support field decisions. Devise and implement KPI’s and reporting and presenting these to the executive team/board of directors as required.
- Drive the development, customization, and refinement of the set up and implementation of the CRM tool and other field related tools to ensure systems are aligned with the needs and deliverables of sales planning and operations.
- Manage vendors and budget for sales operations including CRM, data, fleet, compliance, and sales training as assigned. Liaise with contract sales force partner as required.
- Lead, develop and mentor direct reports including performance management, talent development, and training planning.
- Set team and individual goals in line with company goals.
The successful candidate will have:
- Preferably 10 years’ experience in pharmaceutical sales analytics or operations roles, of which at least 3 years are in a leadership position.
- Experience in a start up/early stage company is highly desirable.
- Experience within oncology or specialty is highly desirable.
- Experience with purchasing data, managing CRM and building data warehouses is desirable
- Professional English language skills are essential.
