Who We Are Looking For:
SCDC is seeking a Chief Financial Officer – Lending, who is looking for a career where they can make a significant impact on the world. The CFO must be well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting to broad investment and banking operations. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader since all financial departments of the organization will be under their command. The goal is to protect the company’s revenues and profits to achieve full financial control and sustainable growth.
This role calls for an individual who bridges multiple fields and demonstrates capabilities in guiding organizations to financial excellence, and will also be responsible for developing, directing, administrating, overseeing, planning, reporting, all accounting functions, purchasing and overall management of all finance affairs.
CFO RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate closely with the CEO, in connection with carrying out all plans and visions of the Founder | Chairman | CVO and contribute advice during strategic planning sessions to align departmental strategy or direction with the overall goals of the organization.
- Ensure the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analysis for, C-level executives, the Founder | Chairman of the Board | Chief Visionary Officer (CVO).
- Oversee the financial operations of the company, including but not limited to expense management, revenue cycle management, and cash management.
- The CFO ensures that the company is always audit-ready, with well-organized records, internal controls, and a clear understanding of tax positions.
- In response to internal and external audits, cooperate with auditors, provide requested financial information, and address audit findings promptly.
- Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the company's financial health and compliance with regulations.
- Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting processes to ensure sound fiscal management and resource allocation.
- Make informed decisions regarding investments, capital allocation, and financial initiatives that support the company's growth.
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy, aligning it with the organization's long-term goals and mission.
- Develop and execute tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position while ensuring compliance with tax laws.
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial processes and drive operational efficiency.
- Build and maintain a strong professional network and stay at the forefront of US GAAP best practices.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in finance.
- Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and laws.
- Oversee all tax reporting and compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- MBA, a Master of Finance, or a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation required.
- 20 + years of experience in corporate finance and accounting.
- Experience as a CFO.
- A network of professional connections in the finance and business communities that may benefit the company, as well as experience in building and nurturing relationships with financial partners.
- Strong financial acumen, including expertise in financial planning, forecasting financial analysis, budgeting, financial modeling, risk management, and financial strategy development.
- Exceptional leadership and management skills, including the ability to lead and mentor financial teams, communicate a financial vision, and drive financial excellence.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal financial regulations, tax laws, tax strategy development, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Ability to achieve measurable results, meeting or exceeding financial targets, and driving the company's financial growth and sustainability.
- Proficiency in developing and executing tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position while ensuring compliance with tax laws.
- Skills in identifying and managing financial risks and a proactive approach to minimizing financial exposure.
- Working knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. (GAAP)
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Exceptional ability to organize information, think critically, and problem solve.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
This position is located in Downtown Houston, Texas 77002.
The minimum salary is $312,000 and may be adjusted based on experience, education, knowledge, skills, and previous salary history with no cap.
This is a primarily on-site role. The ideal candidate is seeking immediate employment and can be available to start immediately or within a maximum of two weeks upon final employment agreement. Some relocation assistance may be provided for the ideal candidate if necessary.
