This role will report directly to the CEO
Job Location: Johannesburg.
Here’s a detailed breakdown of their key duties:
1. Financial Planning and Analysis: o Develop and implement financial strategies and budgets to support the company’s goals. o Analyse financial performance and provide insights on profitability, cost management, and financial trends. o Forecast future financial performance and assess risks and opportunities.
2. Cost Management: o Monitor and control production costs, including raw materials, energy, and labor. o Implement cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements in manufacturing processes. o Analyse cost structures and identify areas for potential cost reductions.
3. Capital Management: o Oversee capital expenditure decisions, including investment in new equipment or facilities. o Manage capital budgeting processes and evaluate the financial viability of capital projects. o Optimize the company’s capital structure and financing strategies.
4. Financial Reporting: o Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with regulatory standards. o Present financial reports to the board of directors, investors, and other stakeholders. o Oversee internal and external audits and ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
5. Risk Management: o Identify and manage financial risks, including commodity price fluctuations, currency risks, and interest rate changes.
7. Treasury Management: o Oversee cash flow management, including optimising working capital and managing liquidity. o Handle relationships with banks and financial institutions. o Manage investments, financing arrangements, and debt obligations.
8. Regulatory Compliance: o Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry-specific standards.
