Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) located in Mumbai. The CFO will oversee all financial operations, including financial planning, financial reporting, and the preparation and review of financial statements, liaise with Statutory Auditors for preparation of Audited Financial statements. The CFO will act as the custodian of all GL/Internal Accounts, control and monitor operations in these accounts. The role involves providing strategic direction in finance and ensuring that the company maintains sound financial health. The CFO will also be responsible for analysing financial data, managing budgets, and aiding in decision-making processes that impact the financial performance of the organization.
The key job responsibility includes:
Responsible for smooth operation of the dept. as in charge
· Preparation of Bank’s periodical financial statements & related works
· Preparation of Annual Budget and review of budget variance time to time
· Preparation of ICAAP & related works
· ALM including financial analysis, planning & Fund Management
· Review of exception reports, GL, Audit Trail, NPA & reports to the management
· Supervising, Checking & follow up of departmental works
· Monitoring & Checking of Transaction & vouchers
· Ensuring of timely submission of RBI & HO return & maintaining of calendar of return
· Supervising of Amortization & Depreciation related works & maintenance of Fixed assets
· Monitoring of T-Bill related works
· Ensuring of maintenance & compliance of CRR & SLR
· Monitoring of target of priority sector lending
· Works related to Income Tax, Corporate Tax, TDS, ST and submission of related return
· Attending of RBI, BB, HO and statutory audit as in charge of dept.
· Printing, publishing & reporting of annual accounts i.e. Balance sheet, Profit & Loss accounts etc
and reporting to ROC, RBI, IBA, HO & so on
· Monitoring & supervising of all expense incurred by the branch
· Scrutinizing of reconciliation of all Nostro & Vostro A/Cs
· Scrutinizing of Forex & Money Market deals & related works
· Scrutinizing of proof sheets of the branch
· Allocation of works of the dept & arranging of absence coverage
· Scrutiny of AMCs of the branch handled by Operation dept.
· Ensuring of all related records keeping
· Working as key contact person of the dept.
Qualifications
· Proficiency in Financial Planning and Finance
· 15 years or more Experience with Financial Statements and Financial Reporting
· Strong Analytical Skills to interpret financial data
· Excellent leadership and strategic planning abilities
· Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills
· Experience in the banking sector is an advantage
· CA, with Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; an additional degree of MBA or Law, or CPA is preferred.
