About the Opportunity
Reporting to the MD, the Chief Financial Officer partners with the Executive Leadership Team, to deliver the financial, commercial and strategic objectives of the business. Leading the Finance, Commercial, IT and Project Services functions, the CFO supports and develops these teams as they provide timely financial information and advice to the Board, Executive team and internal customers to support business decision making. The incumbent ensures the provision of essential services to all projects and provides advice to monitor costs, improve cash flow and profitability, decrease financial risk and ensure legal and regulatory compliance. The role also provides Company Secretarial support as required.
This is an exciting and challenging hands on opportunity to lead the finance and business support functions and contribute to the growth and success of the business.
ICON's current headcount is circa 140 people and growing! The CFO will be directly responsible for a team of up to 15. This vacancy will ideally suit someone with CFO experience in a similar sized organisation; or a Senior Finance Manager ready to make a step up in their leadership journey.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have a high level of influencing and stakeholder management skills and a resolute commitment to the challenge of continuous business improvement. Beyond having strong financial, strategic and corporate governance skills, ICON's CFO is customer focussed, commercially aware, and able to drive change and continuous improvement. This is achieved through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and influencing the Executive Leadership Team's decisions with accurate and detailed information and analysis.
The successful candidate will have:
- Degree level qualifications or above in Accounting, Business or Commerce.
- CPA or CA qualification.
- 10+ years leadership experience in a similar CFO/ Senior Finance Manager role in an engineering or oil and gas company, or organisation in a related project based industry.
- Significant experience in leading Finance, Commercial, IT and Project Services functions.
- Exceptional communication, analytical and problem solving skills
- ERP system implementation experience. MS Dynamics 365 is advantageous.
