Job Title: Chief Financial Officer
Location: Hybrid – 3 days per week in Manchester
About the Company
We are a high-growth, private equity-backed SaaS company, poised for significant expansion through organic growth and M&A activity. With a strong recurring revenue model and an ambitious leadership team, we are looking for a commercially astute CFO to drive financial strategy, operational efficiency, and investor relations as we scale.
The Role
As CFO, you will be a key strategic partner to the CEO and board, leading all financial aspects of the business. You will play a pivotal role in M&A transactions, fundraising, and investor management, while ensuring best-in-class financial operations to support continued SaaS growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the financial strategy to support rapid growth and profitability.
- Lead all aspects of M&A, including deal origination, due diligence, execution, and post-merger integration.
- Partner with private equity investors, providing clear financial insights and ensuring strong relationships.
- Drive SaaS-specific financial metrics (ARR, LTV/CAC, churn, etc.) and ensure data-driven decision-making.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to optimize capital allocation and cash flow.
- Strengthen financial reporting, controls, and compliance frameworks to support scalable growth.
- Work closely with the CEO and leadership team on business strategy, pricing models, and market expansion.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, embedding best practices in financial operations.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance leader within a PE-backed SaaS business.
- Strong track record in M&A, including deal structuring, due diligence, and integration.
- Deep understanding of SaaS business models, including ARR, retention, and unit economics.
- Experience working with private equity investors, with a strong grasp of capital structures and value creation.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to influence and challenge at board level.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to scale finance teams in a fast-growing environment.
