Overview:
The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) is North America's third largest transit system and recognized as one of the top places to work in the GTA. Reporting to the Deputy CEO, the CFO is responsible for the prudent administration of all aspects of the Corporate Services management and planning functions.
This high-profile and visible role provides strategic and operational leadership to Corporate Services including Finance, Business Management & Performance, Procurement & Category Management, Materials Management and Commercial Management.
What You Will Do:
- Be a key member of the TTC Executive Team with significant stakeholder exposure, collaboration and relationship building with the TTC Board, City, Provincial and Federal government stakeholders.
- Lead, guide and develop a team of over 370 staff.
- Drive innovation, the re-envisioning business transformation and modernization of the Corporate Services Group including finance, commercial management and procurement.
- Oversee an annual budget of $1.3B net in operating expenses and $1.7B in capital spend.
What You bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or an equivalent, ideally combined with an MBA or MPA.
- A CPA/CA accounting designation is required; a recognized professional director’s designation would be an asset.
- Minimum of 20 years experience in progressively senior leadership roles. Experience in corporate strategy and leading the provision of services for the public; municipal, public sector, complex urban transportation system experience is ideal.
- Experience leading major transformational initiatives and engaging and mentoring diverse teams.
- Experience reporting and presenting to boards, government bodies and other authorities.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills coupled with strong political acumen.
