The role
InsurX’s Commercial team is responsible for our growth strategy, sales, and managing relationships with both sides of our Exchange – brokers and insurers. The Revenue Operations (RevOps) Manager will be a key enabler for this team as we aim to at least triple revenue in 2025 and 2026. You’ll report to the Head of Commercial Strategy, with a dotted line to the COO. This structure gives you exposure to both strategic sales planning and company-wide operational decision-making, with clear opportunities to grow into a more senior commercial operations or strategy role. Key areas for your role will be:
- Driving sales efficiency: Identify and implement sales process improvements that maximise deal velocity and sales team productivity, directly impacting our GWP growth targets.
- Own customer relationship management: Champion CRM data quality, pipeline integrity, and reporting capabilities required to leverage CRM as a revenue optimization tool
- Optimizing revenue processes: Improve sales forecasting accuracy, lead conversion tracking, and deal velocity so we have a high-quality view of the health of our sales pipeline
- Supporting sales execution: Design scalable, repeatable processes to support deal flow from contracting through to onboarding and activation.
- Collaborating cross-functionally: Work closely with Commercial, Data, Marketing, Customer Success, and Finance to ensure all teams aligned around revenue generation.
About you
Here’s what we think an ideal candidate for the role looks like:
- 5-7 years of experience, in revenue operations, or sales operations, ideally at a B2B scale up in financial services, insurance, or a fintech environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven track-record of working cross-functionally
- Deep understanding of RevOps: CRM management (preferably HubSpot), sales enablement, pipeline optimisation, and revenue forecasting
- Execution-oriented: A proven ability to deliver results working cross-functionally in a hjgh-paced, high growth setting. You are proactive, structured and you get things done.
- Strong prioritisation: you’ll juggle multiple workflows and help the wider team focus on what moves the needle
- A customer-first mindset. You thrive on solving real customer problems and improving the way we deliver value
About us
InsurX’s mission is to bring the $300bn complex commercial insurance industry into the 21st century.
We are a two-sided digital marketplace connecting insurers and brokers to trade complex risks – think ships, concerts, and cyber-attacks.
We’re a startup founded in 2021, looking for great people to join our team at an early stage and have an outsized impact on our business and industry.
We are on a steep growth trajectory, binding USD 20m premium in our first year of trading and targeting USD 100m traded in 2024. This is just the beginning.
We’re making a success of this by trading insurance in a new way: one that combines insurance expertise with outside talent. We want to work with people who are intellectually curious, who love to be challenged and who take the initiative to make things better.
InsurX is an equal opportunities employer. We are committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace. We prohibit discrimination and harassment of any kind based on race, color, sex, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, genetic information, pregnancy, or any other protected characteristic as outlined by law.
