Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and board of directors based on financial analysis and projections.
- Lead long-term financial planning, including capital structure, investment strategies, and risk management.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions.
Budgeting and Cost Management:
- Lead the annual budgeting process and ensure effective cost control measures are in place.
- Monitor project budgets and ensure that all projects are delivered within financial constraints.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements across the organization.
Risk Management and Internal Controls:
- Establish and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets.
- Assess financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Oversee the development and testing of internal controls to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, lenders, and clients.
- Communicate financial performance and strategy to stakeholders clearly and concisely.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial objectives are aligned with operational goals.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary skills and tools to perform their roles effectively.
- Promote professional development and career growth within the finance department.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
- A Master’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (MBA) is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in financial management, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role (CFO or equivalent).
- Significant experience in the Startup industry or related sectors is essential.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale financial operations and delivering results in a complex, multi-project environment.
