Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee and lead all financial aspects of the organization. The CFO will be key in strategic decision-making, financial planning, budgeting, risk management, and overall financial performance. This is an excellent opportunity for a results-driven leader with a deep understanding of the title insurance industry or real estate finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage the financial planning and analysis, accounting, treasury, and reporting functions.
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company’s short- and long-term objectives.
- Oversee budgeting processes.
- Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, state regulatory requirements, and title industry standards, including ALTA Best Practices and underwriters’ guidelines.
- Provide executive leadership with insightful analysis and actionable recommendations.
- Evaluate and implement financial systems and technologies to enhance processes.
- Oversee daily operations, including file disbursement procedures and guidelines, audit preparation, underwriter compliance, escrow reconciliation, and escheat.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s or CPA preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive financial leadership experience.
- Prior experience as a CFO or senior finance executive in the title, escrow, or real estate services industry is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial forecasting, modeling, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to lead teams, influence decision-making, and drive strategic initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Tech-savvy, with experience in financial software systems and automation tools.
- Must pass a pre-hiring background test.
