We are a mission-driven organization focused on providing insurance-related services to the public. We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and results-oriented Chief Financial Officer with extensive experience in insurance accounting. Responsibilities include providing strategic advice, preparing statutory and/or GAAP accounting statements, managing all aspects of the financial ledger, budgeting, financial forecasting, tax compliance, credit and risk management, audits, reinsurance collection, treasury and cash oversight, and developing appropriate financial controls. The position requires intensive in-person interactions with and management of a team of financial professionals. A significant in-office presence is required.
Qualified candidates should be a CPA in good standing, with an MBA or equivalent in finance, and a minimum of 15 years experience in a senior finance position in the insurance industry. Candidate should have thorough knowledge of statutory, cash basis and GAAP accounting principles, and should have exceptional judgment and interpersonal skills. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required. Prior experience with State or Federal government a plus.
