LIFE Enterprises is seeking a highly disciplined, detail-driven, and strategic Director of Finance & Business Operations to lead, mature, and optimize our financial and operational backbone. This is a high-trust, high-autonomy role designed for a proven finance leader who thrives in dynamic, entrepreneurial environments and is eager to build world-class systems from the inside out.
You will be fully responsible for all financial strategy, forecasting, bookkeeping, payroll, contracts, HR administration, and operational systems. From managing the company-wide pro forma to producing accurate, audit-ready books each month, this role is the connective tissue between data, clarity, and confident executive decision-making.
You will report directly to the CEO and Vice President and collaborate across all departments to ensure LIFE Enterprises is financially rigorous, operationally disciplined, and structurally prepared for sustainable growth.
Own the company-wide pro forma, cash flow forecasts, and 12-month rolling financial model.
Deliver weekly financial summaries with trend analysis, red flag alerts, and executive-ready insights.
Conduct monthly budget reviews with each department to drive fiscal accountability and spending precision.
Ensure financial data integrity, including weekly reconciliations and clean, audit-ready financials at all times.
Support revenue modeling, margin analysis, and pricing strategies in collaboration with leadership.
Personally manage all bookkeeping functions, including general ledger management, categorization of all expenses, journal entries, reconciliations, and closeout procedures.
Maintain clean, current books across all entities within LIFE Enterprises, including LIFE Network, TRIUMPH Coaching, LIFE Market, and Ben Greenfield Life.
Produce timely and accurate Owner Financial Reports (YTD Budget vs. Actuals, P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement).
Implement and enforce consistent documentation standards for receipts, invoices, and contractor payments.
Fully own and run bi-weekly payroll processing across all departments using our current payroll provider.
Maintain accurate employee records, onboarding documentation, and payroll compliance files.
Partner with leadership to ensure HR practices and compensation align with applicable labor laws and internal values.
Oversee PTO tracking, contractor invoicing systems, and assist with benefit admin as needed.
Design and maintain financial systems and reporting tools that support smart, fast decision-making.
Drive automation, efficiency, and visibility across all core operational processes.
Identify and implement at least 3 high-impact operational or financial process improvements per year.
Maintain standardized financial templates, SOPs, and audit documentation.
Own the contract lifecycle — from template creation to negotiation, execution, and compliance tracking.
Work with leadership to ensure every vendor, partner, and contractor relationship is clearly structured and legally sound.
Maintain a centralized, organized archive of all executed agreements with renewal and termination alerts.
Prepare detailed agendas, financial dashboards, and strategic talking points for all leadership finance syncs.
Provide clear, accurate, and responsive answers to executive inquiries within 24 hours.
Help drive cross-functional alignment through clarity, documentation, and executive readiness.
Flawless financial operations — all books reconciled weekly, reports delivered on time.

At least three automation or process improvements that have materially improved speed, accuracy, or efficiency.
7+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or business operations, ideally in startup or founder-led environments.
Mastery of accounting principles, reconciliations, financial modeling, and bookkeeping software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc).
End-to-end experience running payroll and HR admin for small to mid-sized teams.
Strong command of financial systems, spreadsheets, and automation tools (e.g. Excel, Notion, Zapier, Airtable).
An organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented approach to operational challenges.
Strong executive presence, written clarity, and the ability to anticipate what leadership needs before they ask.
