About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy, planning, and management of a well-established jewellery business. The CFO will work closely with the leadership team to drive sustainable growth, ensure financial compliance, and enhance operational efficiency in a dynamic and competitive market.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and Board on long-term financial planning, risk management, and investment opportunities.
- Drive profitability through efficient capital allocation, cost optimization, and revenue growth initiatives.
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and working capital management.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and management reports in compliance with statutory requirements.
- Monitor financial performance, conduct variance analysis, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
Compliance, Risk & Governance
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, tax compliance, and corporate governance standards.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks through robust internal controls and risk management frameworks.
- Liaise with auditors, banks, and other external stakeholders.
Operational Excellence
- Streamline and enhance financial processes, systems, and policies for improved efficiency and transparency.
- Oversee procurement, inventory management, and pricing strategies in collaboration with other departments to optimize margins.
- Lead treasury management, including debt and equity financing, to support growth initiatives.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to achieve high performance and professional growth.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance function.
Qualifications & Experience
- Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, CFA, or MBA in Finance from a reputed institution.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Experience in retail, luxury goods, jewellery, or related sectors is a must.
- Proven track record in strategic financial planning, fundraising, and business transformation.
- Strong knowledge of taxation, compliance, and Indian accounting standards.
