Evergreen Advisors seeks to hire an Emerging CFO or CFO for our growing CFO Advisory Practice in the Greater Baltimore area. Successful Candidates will have:
Broad and Deep Finance and Accounting Skills. Due to the broad nature of our work, our consultants must be capable of doing day-to-day accounting, have management skills, and have considerable financial analytical skills. Our consultants must also have experience designing and building an accounting department.
Leadership and Advisory Mindset. Advising a rapidly growing company requires our consultants to be dynamic, motivational, and able to provide clear, strategic guidance that drives sustainable growth.
Experience with Raising Capital or Debt. Knowledge in securing funding or managing debt arrangements is highly desirable.
What You’ll Do
- Financial Strategy and Budgeting: Preparing reports on a regular basis, including monthly financial statements, cost reports, budgeting, forecasting reports, variance reports, and other financial reports as needed, including maintaining complex financial models.
- Cash Management: Cash management and treasury planning to position clients for sustainable growth.
- Accounting Management: Interfacing our clients with outside accounting firms and auditing liaisons with independent auditors, guidance on our clients' credit facilities, and accounts payable for all vendor invoices. Guidance on customers executing contracts, preparation of reports of commission payments, Preparation of information for tax return preparers, advice on the company’s banking relationships and insurance needs, and proper accounting policies and procedures.
- Board Meetings: Prepare and deliver clear, decision-ready materials to boards and investors.
- Capital Raise and M& A Support: Prepare due diligence information and cap table management as needed for debt/equity raises
What You Bring
- A well-established track record of securing equity and debt financing, ideally paired with hands-on M&A experience.
- Broad and deep finance and accounting skills, capable of moving fluidly between high-level strategy and ground-level execution.
- The judgment that comes from navigating multiple growth phases and market cycles.
- CPA and accounting degree preferred.
- A cultivated network in the Mid-Atlantic, particularly Baltimore Metro.
- Exceptional technical skills, including advanced Excel and fluency or can be fluent in multiple accounting systems.
- Resourceful self-starter, able to work autonomously and as team player.
