Job Description: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly strategic and dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team at a rapidly scaling US fintech startup. The CFO will be a key partner to the CEO, driving financial strategy, growth, and long-term sustainability. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in budgeting & forecasting, demonstrate critical thinking for high-stakes decision-making, and have strong team leadership skills to manage and scale the finance function in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Critical Thinking
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and leadership team.
- Apply strong critical thinking and analytical skills to evaluate business risks, opportunities, and financial trade-offs.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to guide strategic decisions.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Build dynamic financial models that adapt to evolving market conditions.
- Track variances and drive efficiency in resource allocation.
Team Leadership & Development
- Build, lead, and mentor the finance and accounting teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Establish scalable processes and empower team members for future growth.
Governance, Compliance & Operations
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and fintech regulations.
- Oversee risk management, internal controls, and audit processes.
- Implement robust financial systems, automation tools, and reporting standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- CA/CPA/MBA Finance (preferred) or equivalent advanced degree.
- 5+ years in fintech/financial services/startups.
- Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Proven ability to lead and scale teams in high-growth environments.
- Track record of critical thinking and decision-making in complex financial scenarios.
Experience with fundraising and investor management.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹900,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
