Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location: A group of steel companies, operating three manufacturing units at different locations, is looking for a CFO for its Corporate Office in Delhi-92. Reporting To: Managing Director / Board of Directors
We are looking for a strategic and highly experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) with 20+ years of progressive leadership in finance and accounts, preferably with exposure to large or diversified manufacturing businesses. The CFO will be a key member of the leadership team, driving financial strategy, risk management, and long-term growth. Exposure to capital markets and experience in introducing the company to capital market investors will be considered an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy aligned with business goals.
- Provide insights and recommendations to the Board and MD for strategic decision-making.
- Lead annual operating plans, budgets, and long-term financial forecasts.
2. Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee preparation of accurate financial statements in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure timely MIS, board reports and performance analytics.
- Monitor key business metrics and drive profitability.
3. Treasury & Funding
- Manage banking relationships, debt structuring, and fund-raising activities (equity/debt).
- Ensure effective cash flow, working capital and liquidity management.
- Oversee investments and capital allocation.
4. Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with Companies Act, SEBI, Income Tax, GST and other regulatory frameworks.
- Design and monitor robust internal controls and enterprise risk management systems.
- Liaise with statutory, internal and tax auditors.
5. Operational & Cross-functional Leadership
- Partner with operations, sales, and supply-chain teams to drive cost efficiencies and margin improvements.
- Support ERP and digital transformation initiatives.
6. Team Development
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Build succession plans and nurture future leaders within the finance function.
Qualifications & Experience
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 20+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Strong track record in senior financial leadership roles, ideally in manufacturing or large industrial organizations.
- Expertise in corporate finance, strategic planning, mergers & acquisitions, and capital markets.
- Excellent knowledge of Indian GAAP, IFRS, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
- Exposure to capital markets and experience in introducing the company to capital market investors will be an added advantage.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

CTC / Salary Range
