Position Overview
POWERGROUP Resources, on behalf of our client Wessuc Inc. is seeking a visionary, results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
The CFO is a key executive leadership role responsible for guiding the organization’s overall financial strategy, ensuring long-term fiscal sustainability, and driving enterprise-wide value creation. As a member of the executive leadership team and reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the CFO will shape financial direction, strengthen governance, and champion innovation across the agricultural, municipal, and industrial sectors we serve.
This individual will bring a blend of financial acumen, strategic foresight, and operational discipline, serving as both a trusted advisor to the COO and a collaborative partner to operational leaders. The CFO will play a critical role in aligning financial and business strategies, optimizing performance, and ensuring compliance while advancing the company’s mission of sustainable, environmentally responsible growth.

What we need from you:
Experience & Expertise
- 8+ years of progressive finance leadership, with at least 4 years in a senior executive or CFO capacity
- Demonstrated success in organizations with multi-site operations, diverse revenue streams, and significant growth initiatives
- Strong command of corporate finance, risk management, capital planning, and regulatory compliance
- Track record of partnering with CEOs & COOs to drive long-term value creation
Education & Credentials
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field required
- CPA, CMA, or MBA strongly preferred

- Team Leadership: Builder of high-performing finance teams, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and integration across departments
- Contract & Compliance Expertise: Skilled in negotiating, structuring, and improving agreements to safeguard and advance company interests
What you will do:
Executive Financial Leadership
- Serve as a strategic partner to the COO, shaping long-term financial strategy and organizational growth
- Guide capital allocation, investments, and risk management to ensure resilience and sustainability
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure strong financial governance, audit readiness, and compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Oversee risk management frameworks to safeguard assets and strengthen financial resilience
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Embed Finance within Sales and Operations to ensure alignment of contracts, billing, and performance management
- Hold teams accountable for accuracy and timeliness of financial data and reporting
Innovation & Value Creation
- Drive forward-looking financial planning and execution of initiatives that improve efficiency, profitability, and shareholder value
- Identify and implement new systems and tools to enhance financial performance
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance function, building a strong succession pipeline and expanding Finance’s influence across the organization
- Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation
Sustainability-Driven Insight
- Lead financial aspects of ESG initiatives, integrating environmental and social considerations into financial decision-making
- Support cost-benefit analyses for sustainable technologies, waste reduction, and green investments
