A ~$2B AUM Private Credit / Structured Real Estate Fund in the San Fran area is looking to bring in a CFO to oversee all aspects of accounting and finance.
The CFO will manage the current accounting team, the fund administrator, the auditors, and some outsourced remote workers. This person will report to the Founders, have a seat on the investment committee, and will face off with all of senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Oversight & Reporting
- Lead all accounting, finance, tax, and treasury functions.
- Oversee financial statements, capital account reporting, and investor reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with applicable standards.
- Manage external audit processes and relationships with third-party service providers.
Fund & Corporate Accounting
- Oversee fund accounting, NAV, management fees, capital calls, and distributions.
- Ensure accurate expense allocations, reconciliations, and valuation processes.
- Partner with compliance and risk teams to ensure adherence to governing documents and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor liquidity, cash forecasting, and fund-level financing activities.
Operational & Strategic Leadership
- Build and scale financial infrastructure to support continued growth and multiple investment vehicles.
- Drive improvements to accounting systems, processes, and technology.
- Manage relationships with auditors, fund administrators, custodians, legal advisors, and other external partners.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support senior leadership and strategic decision-making.
In Office: 2x per week in San Fran
Base Salary Range: $200K - $250K
Total Comp Range: $350K - $450K

Qualifications
- 10+ years of fund accounting experience (from a fund)
- RE or Credit fund experience required
- CPA or CFA Preferred
