CFO | Private Credit / Structured Real Estate | San Francisco Bay Area - 2x a Week in Office
A ~$2B AUM private credit / structured real estate investment firm in the San Francisco area is looking for a CFO. This is a true seat-at-the-table CFO role, reporting directly to the Founders and overseeing all aspects of accounting & finance, including the internal accounting team, fund admin, auditors, tax, treasury, investor reporting, NAV, capital activity, and financial infrastructure.
Financial Oversight & Reporting
- Direct all accounting, finance, tax, and treasury operations.
- Oversee preparation of financial statements, capital account reporting, and investor reporting packages.
- Ensure accurate, timely reporting in compliance with industry standards.
- Manage external audits and coordinate with third-party administrators.
Fund & Corporate Accounting
- Oversee fund accounting, NAV calculations, fee structures, and capital calls/distributions.
- Ensure proper expense allocations, reconciliations, and valuation policies.
- Coordinate with compliance and risk with fund governing documents and regulatory obligations.
- Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts; arrange for debt at fund level.
Operational Leadership
- Build and scale financial infrastructure to support the firm’s growth and multiple investment vehicles.
- Implement financial systems, processes, and technology for efficiency and scalability.
- Manage relationships with auditors, fund administrators, custodians, and legal counsel.
- Provide financial insights to guide strategic decision-making and operational planning.
In-Office: 2x a Week in San Francisco
Base Salary Range: $200K - $250K
Total Comp Range: $300K - $600K
Qualifications
- 10+ Years of Fund Accounting, CFO, or CCO Experience
- Must be coming from a Fund (Ideally RE but Open)
- Any Exposure to Compliance (Hybrid CAO/CCO) is a major plus
- CPA or CFA Required
