Candidates will ideally have the following:-
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (CPA/CA preferred).
- Minimum 10 years in senior finance roles, including experience as a CFO or equivalent.
- Construction, fit-out, or project-based business experience essential.
- Proven track record in scaling finance operations, strategic planning, and cash flow management.
- Deep understanding of compliance, tax, payroll, and financial risk management in an Australian business context.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Xero and Procore is highly desirable.
- High level oral and written English-language skills
- Excellent organizational skills
Duties and Responsibilities will include:-
- Partner with the Managing Director and Executive Team to guide business planning, investments, and key financial decisions.
- Lead and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance reporting.
- Manage liquidity, working capital, and ensure ongoing positive cash flow.
- Ensure robust financial controls and compliance with statutory, tax, and audit requirements.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and board-level reporting.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team
- Champion a data-driven culture by implementing systems that support financial and operational visibility.
- Work closely with Operations, Projects, and Commercial to support margin optimisation, project controls, and budget alignment.
- Monitor and report on project and business unit profitability, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Act as a key decision-maker and strategic advisor across all financial matters.
