Job Title: Manager, Strategic R&D Business Operations
Location: UK, or Europe (remote/hybrid)
About the Role:
This role supports global clinical trial operations by managing site budgets and contracts throughout their lifecycle. Acting as the Business Programs Site Manager (BPSM), you’ll oversee site contracting strategy, financial management, and ensure alignment with study operations. Additional responsibilities include vendor contracting and financial oversight across the clinical portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead site budget and contract lifecycle from development to close-out.
- Serve as primary point of contact for Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs) and budget issues.
- Develop study/country/site budget templates and payment strategies.
- Negotiate site budgets and CTAs with CROs/vendors and track versions.
- Manage amendments, payment reconciliation, and compliance with country-specific requirements.
- Support vendor performance oversight and advise on budget-related risks.
Requirements:
- BA/BS in finance, accounting, health sciences, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 8+ years in pharma/CRO industry; 5+ years in Clinical or Business Operations.
- Strong knowledge of global site contracting and budgeting processes.
- Proven ability to manage complex negotiations and timelines.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
